We are partnering with the Lakeshore Little Read and CultureWorks to bring you a fantastic program that focuses on the traditions of Michigan's Indigenous Peoples from 500 years ago.  We will read the Little Read book Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard and we will discuss how the book talks about tradition and how it changes over time.  Then we will tour our Ottawa/Potawatomi Summer Village and explore artifacts and tools used by people who lived here long ago.  We will finish by crafting your own clay pot using traditional practices and locally sourced clay.

Registration required. Please dress for the weather - much of this program will be outdoors.
