Let’s clean up The Sag! We will remove trash and debris from this part of the Grand River from Ottawa Sands. Please be sure to register for the cleanup by land or by water:

-Ottawa Sands - Cleanup on land: volunteers will clean up the shore of The Sag (meet at Ottawa Sands County Park 18153 N Shore Dr, Ferrysburg, MI 49456.)

-Ottawa Sands - Cleanup in water *Double Kayak*: volunteers will cleanup The Sag via double kayak. These kayaks seat 2 volunteers. Kayak, paddles, and flotation devices will be provided (meet at Ottawa Sands County Park 18153 N Shore Dr, Ferrysburg, MI 49456. .)

-Ottawa Sands - Cleanup in water *Single Kayak*: volunteers will cleanup The Sag via kayak. These kayaks seat 1 volunteer. Kayak, paddle, and flotation devices will be provided (meet at Ottawa Sands County Park 18153 N Shore Dr, Ferrysburg, MI 49456.)

This event is in partnership with Ottawa County Parks and Recreation, the Lower Grand River Organizations of Watersheds, and the ODC Network. This event is being supported by a Trash Free Waters grant from the US Environmental Protection Agency. The amount of trash removed from the river and riverbank will be measured and reported.

This event requires walking and/or paddling. Ottawa Sands County Park has natural surface trails and may not be universally accessible. 

Suggested age range: 5-99 yo
